Ingredients:
           
Fermentable 1:
6 lbs Maris Otter
Fermentable 2:
.25 lb roasted barley

Hops 1:
1/2 oz UK Kent Goldings
Alpha:
6.6%
Time:
60 minutes

Yeast:
WYeast #1728 Scottish

Process:
  • Mash in with 1.5 gallons water at 174°F
  • Mash at 152°F for 60 minutes
  • Sparge with 3 gallons of water at 170°F
  • Take off first gallon of wort and boil to reduce by 50%
  • Add rest of wort, and boil 60 minutes with the single hops addition indicated above
Notes:

26 August - kegged.  This is a very light beer - tastes good, but I imagine one could drink this like water without much effect from alcohol.
