Brew Rat Chat homebrew club |
An online homebrew club - in their own words: "The Brew Rat Chat was first born in the fertile imagination of the King Rat, Skotrat, a.k.a. Scott Abene 'I always thought when I was having brewing problems that I wished there was somewhere I could go to get assistance right away,' Abene said recently. Homebrew Talk | A Discussion community for promoting home brewing of beer, wine, cider, and mead. Several other forums (forae?) are available for general discussion, for selling and buying and for discussion of commercial beers from various parts of the world. This has potential - check it out.

Kuhnhenn Brothers | AKA: BrewingWorld.com - Khunhenn Brothers inherited a hardware store and began selling homebrew supplies. Several years ago now, they closed the hardware due to economic pressures of big box stores and focused on homebrewing. Also the home of a good Brew-On-Premises as well as their own small brewery, this is truly a one-stop shop. Located in Warren, Michigan, they also sell (via internet) to all comers.
L.A.G.E.R.S.: Louisville Area Grain Extract Research Society | Founded in 1989 and boasting over 40 members, this club (as the name implies) meets in Louisville, KY. This site has information about next meetings as well as newsletters.

Listermann Manufacturing | The home page of a company which developed and distributes many gadgets which have become indispensible to the homebrewer: such things as the PhilMill, Phil's Philler, Philchill Phittings and Phil's Phalse Bottom. My only question is why the company isn't called "Phil's Manuphacturing."
Logic Incorporated | If you are a home brewer who would like to find an earth-friendly alternative to chlorine bleach for sterilizing your equipment, check these folks out. They have a product that fills the bill.

Tom & Vince's Homebrew Pages | This homebrew site evidently started with the meeting of two homebrewers, one from the USA and one from the UK. An interesting site, the one thing that may be of most interest to people who want to try all grain brewing but are not sure where to start is Mashing with Kitchen Utensils - making a one gallon batch of a Guinness clone.

If you live in the metro Detroit area, I highly recommend this store as a source for your supplies and equipment as well as samples of those microbrewed & exotic beers you might like to duplicate.
Yeast Comparison Chart | Tables comparing Wyeast, White Labs, Yeast Labs and YCKC yeasts, reporting possible sources and alternatives. |
