Process: |
Bring water to boil. Turn off heat and add malt extracts. Boil for one hour, making hop additions according to schedule above. At end of boil, add water to make 5 gallons. Cool and pitch yeast. This beer was fermented in a refrigerator with the temperature set to 40 degrees Farenheit (a thermometer was used to monitor this temperature). Fermentation took several months, hence the name. |
